Strawberries are blooming

The strawberries we planted two winters ago (they were the first planting in this garden) are looking great. We started with 2 raised beds 25 feet long and put in about 12 plants on each bed. Unseen below the foliage are two drip lines per bed that give a nice constant source of water. Looks like we will get lots of berries based on all the blooms.

The ‘onion’ patch is coming on too. Both garlic and shallot, planted in the fall, have strong green leaves. These shallots look like my best ever. To the left (in picture) and smaller are leeks, red onion, scallions and white onion.

The sweet corn, “bodacious”, was planted today, just before some rain that is moving in. If the weather hold it should germinate in warm damp weather.
