Last night I noticed a few honey bees flying near our porch. I should have realized thatmany more were coming. The queen must have found a hole where speaker wires enter the house. She seems to be setting up shop. From outside she seems to have crawled under my desk (under the floor, and above the first floor ceiling).
The swarm really got quiet after a small dose of smoke. Using a metal bucket filled with wet and dry grass I made a smudge pot. The wind is gentle and the smoke eliminated all the flying and buzzing and they have collected near the queen’s hole.
Kathy is deathly allergic to bees. They are a protected species. We are trying to contact bee keepers to come and collect them.
